Construct IT - Events

Members' Meetings form an integral part of the strategy of Construct IT For Business.

These two-day events are held twice per annum and involve workshops, demonstrations and presentations by speakers from industry (including out-of-sector industries), academia, policy makers and other related network organisations. These gatherings provide a platform for members to interact with their peers and exchange viewpoints. Furthermore, the meetings are used for the dissemination of information to members and to gain valuable feedback.

The events are CPD accredited through the CIOB.

*2011*
	The CIOB CPD Accredited Autumn 2011 Meeting was held in conjunction with Oxford Brookes University and buildingSMART, 23rd & 24th November, Oxford Brookes University. The theme of the meeting focused on e-Business: Delivering Improved Efficiency through Electronic Trading. The event was preceded with a half-day workshop on *e-Trading: An Integrated Business Approach towards Industry Improvement*.
	The CIOB CPD Accredited Spring 2011 Meeting was held in conjunction with the BRE, 18th-19th May, BRE, Watford. The theme of the meeting focused on BIM Today ... Where to Tomorrow? moving industry adoption forward. The event was preceded with a half-day workshop on *Next Generation BREEAM and the Future of Energy Assessment Tools*.

	The CIOB CPD Accredited Autumn 2010 Meeting was held in conjunction with the University of East London, 25th November 2010, University of East London. The theme of the meeting will focus on Industry Response to the New UK Coalition Goverment Targets.
	The CIOB CPD Accredited Spring 2010 Meeting was a Construct IT-buildingSMART-COMIT Uniting Construction Information (UCI) event held in conjunction with the University of Reading, 19th May 2010, University of Reading. The theme of the meeting was focused on Sustainability: The Impact and Challenges.

	The CIOB CPD Accredited Autumn 2009 Meeting was held at London South Bank University on the 26th November 2009. The theme of the meeting was focused on The Challenge and Opportunity of ICT Investment & Strategy in the Economic Downturn.
	The CIOB CPD Accredited Spring 2009 Meeting was held in conjunction with the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff on the 21st May 2009. The theme of the meeting was focused on the Management of Information on Infrastructure Projects.

	The CIOB CPD Accredited Autumn 2008 Members’ Meeting was held in conjunction with buildingSMART at the Old Ship Hotel, Brighton on the 20th November 2008. The theme of the meeting was focused on Virtual and Building Information Modelling towards Integrated Project Delivery.
	The CIOB CPD Accredited Spring 2008 Members’ Meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel, Warwick on the 21st and 22nd May 2008. The 1st day of the meeting was a facilitated workshop focused on Construction ICT Revolution! The theme for the 2nd day was Carbon Footprint Challenge: ICT, Technology and Innovation in the Built Environment.

	The CIOB CPD Accredited Autumn 2007 Members’ Meeting was held in conjunction with the West Midlands Centre for Constructing Excellence, Birmingham on the 21st November 2007. The theme of the meeting was The Strategic Alignment of Business and ICT.
	The CIOB CPD Accredited Spring 2007 Members’ Meeting was held in conjunction with the CIOB & RICS at the CIOB Headquaters, Englemere, Ascot on the 16th and 17th May. The theme of the meeting was Supply Chain Working.

	The Autumn 2006 Members’ Meeting washeld in conjunction with IAI/buildingSMARTat CUBE, Manchester on 15th & 16th November.
	The Spring 2006 Members’ Meeting was held at Conference 21, Hallam Sheffield University on the 24th & 25th May.

	The Autumn 2005 Members’ Meeting was held at the Cottons Hotel and Spa, Knutsford, Cheshire on 2nd & 3rd November in conjunction with 4FM and the Centre for Facilities Management. The theme of the meeting was Facilities Information Management.
	The Spring 2005 Members' Meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes on 11th and 12th May.

	The Autumn 2004 Members' Meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Leicester on 17th and 18th November.
	The Spring 2004 Members' Meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes on 26th and 27th May. The theme of the meeting was 'e' Working Towards Improved Efficiency, Sustainability and Well-being.

	The Autumn 2003 Members' Meeting was held at Burleigh Court Conference Centre, Loughbourgh University on 5th and 6th. The theme was Collaborative Working: The Reality and Challenges.
	The Spring 2003 Members' Meeting was held at the at the Le Meridian Hotel in York on the 14th and 15th May. The theme was Information Exchange & Management.

	The Autumn 2002 Members' Meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes on 9th and 10th. The theme was Knowledge Management.
	The Spring 2002 Members' Meeting was held at the Moat House Hotel in York on 6th and 7th. The theme was Supply Chain Management.

	The Autumn 2001 Members' Meeting was held at the Hilton Hotel in Milton Keynes on 17th and 18th.
	The Spring 2001 Members' Meeting was held at the Swallow Four Seasons Hotel, Manchester Airport on 4th and 5th. The theme was Whole Life Cycle Asset Management.
